Meet the Founder: CeCe

“Born & raised in Shanghai, China, I moved to Los Angeles, California for college and to create a new life for myself when I was 18. Little did I know I would have a teaching/mentoring career using movement as a tool simply because I followed what I always loved doing: dancing and teaching. It definitely took years of hard work and dedication to but only develop myself as a dancer/choreographer as an adult , but also to find myself as an artist and human. I think that is why I am relatable— because every mindset i’m preaching, every thought I’m expressing, every tip I’m giving, I have been there myself and had to fought my way to be the secure, solid and confident woman and dancer that I am. I believe in that what happens outside of the dance room-your growth as a person-reflect on how you are as a mover. And that is how & why I started Move In Touch: moving with intentions and moving as a way to be in touch with yourself.

Behind the Brand Name:

Our Story

With the philosophy of “Dance is for everyone & Art should be accessible“, we believe that movement is healing and a great tool to explore and learn more about oneself. The name “Move In Touch“ (or MIT) , established in 2019, embodies the connection between mind and body where you can find yourself, get in touch with yourself and re-define yourself through different forms of movement--whether it is a heels class, or yoga, or movement therapy, etc. It is an expansion and expression of YOU, and that is what we focus on.

Our Goals

To guide you through this journey of self-love, self-discovery, empowerment and healing;

To offer a different perspective on movement as storytelling in your own way;

To help you explore what femininity means yo you;

To connect like-minded souls and build a community that uplifts and supports one another.

To advocate the mind-body connection and the importance to take care of both.
